COMMUNITY TRANSPORT |
There are three community transport services that can help you get from A to B if you are unable to use public transport or if there is no public transport available.

DIAL A RIDE |
Community Car Scheme for Wheelton, Withnell, and
surrounding areas.
If you don't live on a bus
route or you find it difficult to get to or use public transport)
why not contact Dial-a- Ride. Dial-a-Ride provide a door to
door transport service. Please book 48 hours in advance if
possible.
Telephone Chorley 01257 261844 between
9am to 1pm Monday to Friday. Charges are generally the same
as those charged by local bus services & concessionary
passes can be used.

RED ROSE RUNNER |
A service to get you to medical appointments
(and home again!), for example, trips to the Doctors, Dentist, Health
Centre, etc. Tel Preston 901321 between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

WHEELTON & WITHNELL CARE CARS |
Wheelton & Withnell Care Cars provide a door-to-door transport
service by car. The service can be used for visiting friends & relatives,
the doctors, chiropodist, collection of prescriptions, shopping & social
trips, and so on. Volunteer Drivers are always needed (expenses paid
and you will need your own car). To book telephone Ivy Carroll on
Chorley 249504. Concessionary passes can be used.
